Forestry Surveyor Qualifications

  • Forest Technicians/ Forester or equivalent experience
  • Valid driver’s license & Clean driving abstract
  • Read maps & pass survey course
  • Use Garmin 60cx GPS fluently
  • Must be fit and able to fly in Helicopters and drive ATV’s/ Snowmobiles

Duties Include

  • GPS tree locations
  • Walk 4 to 6 km per day
  • Locating & gaining access to remote locations

Data Entry & Book Keeping personal Qualifications

  • Forest Technicians/ Forester or equivalent experience
  • Valid driver’s license & Clean driving abstract
  • Fluent in computer skills: Microsoft Office, Excel & Word
  • Simply Accounting skills would be an asset
  • Must be reliable, dedicated and able to work independently

Duties Include

  • Assist management in Daily uploading, transferring of data
  • Collect data sheets & organize operators, distribute data to crews
  • Uploading & downloading using Data base
  • Must be organized, professional & able to locate errors and perform payroll functions


Operators

  • Feller bunchers, skidders, delimbers, bull dozer, excavator, dump truck
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving history
  • At least 3 years experience required
  • Working out of remote camp near Goose Bay, Labrador
  • First Aid, WHMIS

Duties:

  • Clear within the boundaries set out for transmission lines
  • Follow all Health & safety & environmental procedures


Manual Fellers

  • Valid driver's license and clean driving history
  • Working out of remote camp near Goose Bay, Labrador
  • Must have first aid and WHMIS
  • Chain operation training
  • At least 3 years experience


Project Manager

  • At least 5 years experience
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving history
  • Working out of remote camp near Goose Bay, Labrador
  • Must have first aid and WHMIS

Duties:

  • Manage 15 to 20 people
  • Enforce all procedures and policies
  • Attend Biweekly and Monthly progress meetings
  • Create reports and keep accurate records
  • Plan, organize, Direct and control daily operations
  • Plan and prepare schedules and milestones and monitor progress
  • Establish and implement polices and procedures for quality control


Environmental Consultant and Co-ordinator

  • Consultant at least 10 years experience (five for co-ordinator)
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving history
  • Working out of remote camp near Goose Bay, Labrador
  • First Aid, WHMIS

Duties:

  • Create, instruct and enforce site specific environmental plans
  • Prepare reports for biweekly and monthly meetings with director
  • Create reports and keep accurate records
  • Investigate issues with conclusions and recommendations


Health & Safety Co-ordinator and assistant

  • 5 years of experience (three for assistant)
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving history
  • Working out of remote camp near Goose Bay, Labrador
  • First Aid & WHMIS

Duties:

  • Create, instruct and enforce site specific Health & Safety plans
  • Prepare reports for biweekly and monthly meetings with director
  • Create reports and keep accurate records
  • Investigate issues with conclusions and recommendations
  • Create emergency response plans
  • Over see training and certificates


Paramedics

  • Experience a must
  • Ambulance driver's license
  • Working out of remote camp near Goose Bay, Labrador
  • WHMIS

Duties:

  • Monitor work sites while in operation
  • Respond to emergency situations
  • Drive to nearby hospital when necessary


Security Guard

  • Security Guard basic (pre-assignment ) training program certificate, Security Guard Licence, First Aid Certificate, Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate, First aid
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving history
  • Working out of remote camp near Goose Bay, Labrador

Duties:

  • Enforce regulations
  • Resolve conflict situations
  • Detect or prevent thefts and vandalism


Heavy Equipment Mechanic

  • Experience with forestry equipment a must
  • Heavy duty equipment mechanic trade certification

Duties:

  • Troubleshoot and inspect equipment
  • Repairs at work site and in garage
  • Clean, lubricate and perform regular maintenance


Accountant and assistants

  • Experience a must

  • Working out of remote camp near Goose Bay, Labrador

Duties:

  • Set-up accounts
  • Train and supervise assistants
  • Prepare reports
  • Attend biweekly and monthly progress meetings
  • Month end and account reconciliation
  • Prepare and monitor budgets

Assistants:

  • Data entry
  • Prepare reports and graphs


Contract Administrator

  • Experience a must
  • Valid drivers license and clean driving history
  • Working out of remote camp near Goose Bay, Labrador

Duties:

  • Prepare reports for weekly, biweekly, and monthly meetings
  • Main contact person with contractor


Small Engine Mechanic Qualifications

  • Have experience fixing chainsaws, ATVs, snow mobiles, trucks, etc
  • Valid driver`s license & clean driving abstract
  • Able to work in remote locations
  • Able to stay in hotels and remote camps

Duties Include

  • Servicing, repair and general up keep of chainsaws, atv`s, snowmobiles, generators, trucks, etc


Long Haul Truck Driver Qualifications

  • Be able to load and unload wood, forestry equipment, etc
  • Class 1 driver`s license and clean driving abstract
  • Able to work in remote locations
  • Able to stay in hotels and remote camps

Duties Include

  • Loading wood from piles at road side and transporting them to storage areas and offloading
  • Transporting equipment from NB to AB and Labrador.


Road Crew and Supervisor

  • Experience building roads & landings
  • Valid driver`s license & clean driving abstract
  • Able to work in remote locations
  • Able to stay in hotels and remote camps

Duties Include

  • Building roads and landings
  • Ensuring proper drainage
  • Putting in culverts and temporary bridges


Camp Superintendent

  • Management experience
  • Valid driver`s license & clean driving abstract
  • Able to work in remote locations
  • Able to stay in hotels and remote camps

Duties

  • Manage camp staff
  • Ensure adequate food and clean water
  • Oversee repairs and maintenance
  • Ensure accessibility to camps and offices
  • Sign for deliveries
  • Maintain propane and fuel supply


Camp Cooks

  • Previous experience
  • Valid driver`s license & clean driving abstract
  • Able to work in remote locations
  • Able to stay in hotels and remote camps

Duties

  • Preparing menus and hearty meals
  • Kitchen clean up and washing dishes
  • Ordering food


Janitors

  • Previous experience
